Following the update on the power supply problems caused by the devastating fires in NE Attica, DEDDIE announces that all its staff are on their feet for the fastest possible re-electrification of the affected areas.
From this morning until now, the technical staff of DEDDIE in NE Attica, has completed the inspection of the Medium Voltage network, recording damage to at least 120 poles in the areas of Varnava, Amygdaleza, Marathon Lake, Rapentosa, Dau Pentelis, Kalendzi and Gramatiko.
The restoration work on the Medium Voltage Network, which is also the main body for the re-electrification of the areas, has already started in the points where there is access and is expected to be completed tomorrow. At the same time, the inspection of the Low Voltage network in the same areas has already begun, with the aim of planning electricity supply to customers.
It should be noted that in the morning hours the fires had shut down 120 substations affecting approximately 5,000 customers, while at this time, despite the extension of the fire to the Vrilissi area, they are affecting 75 substations and a total of approximately 3,000 customers.
