Decreased oil production in Libya after the blockade of export ports

Two oil engineers in the Sarir oil field in Libya said that the blockade on oil production widened on Thursday and Friday with the closure of two export ports, and the threat to close another port and reduce production in a large field.
On Thursday, exports stopped at the ports of Ras Lanuf and Es Sider.

On Friday, one of the groups demanded the closure of the Hariga port. The two engineers at the Sarir field said production was down.

Libyan oil production has already fallen by regarding half to 600,000 barrels per day following groups closed the main El Sharara and El Feel fields last month, although work at El Sharara resumed briefly this week, before stopping once more.

The groups that shut down the oil facilities demanded that Abdel Hamid Dabaiba hand over the post of prime minister to Fathi Bashagha, who was supported by parliament in the east, to take over in March.
