The decrease in the number of requests was published by the Aztec diplomatic delegation itself, which, in turn, made a summary of the ninth month of the year.

The permanent diplomatic delegation in Cuba added in its report that no births of Mexican citizens were registered on the Island during last September. Meanwhile, only seven passports of the same nationality were delivered to people who requested them at its headquarters.

Possible causes

Both Cuban and Mexican citizens have a much more central location to attend to their consular needs and requests.

In its offices, the new headquarters offers several services. For example, visa applications, legalizations and passport renewals are processed. Likewise, procedures such as birth registration and public faith functions will be facilitated.
