Decomposing body of Michigan police officer missing since June found

Detroit police found in a wooded area the decomposing corpse of a retired officer who was missing from the end of June.

The man’s body was found in Stoepel Park in Detroit, following being moved to the medical examiner’s office, everything seems to indicate that it is Stephen Hodoformer police officer and who lives near where he was found.

According to the authorities’ report, Stephen Hodo had been missing since June 30. So upon discovery, detectives obtained a search warrant at his home, where they realized that a fight had occurred, WJBK news reported.

During the investigation, they saw the image of a surveillance camera, where you can see at Hodo’s neighbor, firing a gun belonging to former officer in a house on Ferguson Street. Later elsewhere, the man was driving the dead officer’s car.

Hodo’s 29-year-old neighbor, he is already in jail because he was arrested last week for allegedly shooting a 40-year-old man in the finger with Hodo’s stolen gun.

The police do not rule out that the man is the prime suspect in Stephen’s death.

Questioning Detroit Police Chief James White: “We’re going to let the medical examiner do their evaluation and see if we can identify the body that we found. Sadly, many things point to the fact that he may be our retired police officer.”.

Nostalgic added: “A very tragic week for the Detroit Police Department, keep us in your prayers,” Chief White said. to the Click portal in Detroit.
