Declaration of train incidents for Sunday April 2, 2023

LIBREVILLE, April 3 (Infosplusgabon) – The Transgabonais operating company (Setrag) informed all railway users on Sunday of the occurrence of two incidents on the railway on the night of April 1 to 2, 2023.

The baggage car of passenger train No. 632, coming from Franceville, went off the track at PK184+865 3 km from Ndjolé station. This incident caused no damage. bodily or material.

Setrag apologizes for the inconvenience caused.

Train No. 632 finally resumed its journey towards Owendo, the terminus of its route, following the completion of the operation to put the vehicle concerned back on the rails.

An incident also occurred during the same night at PK 388, leading to the derailment of empty freight train No. 5111, between Ivindo and Mouyabi stations.

The incident caused no injuries. Material damage was at deplore and require rehabilitation work on the damaged portion of the track.

Traffic was temporarily suspended during the period of execution of these works.

The Setrag teams are hard at work to restore traffic safely as soon as possible.
