The economic and social development plan document submitted by the Minister of Planning, Dr. Hala Al-Saeed, and approved by Parliament in its two chambers (Representatives and Senate) confirmed that the government aims during the current fiscal year to increase the number of governorates benefiting from the implementation of the comprehensive health insurance system, and the number of villages benefiting from the services of the Decent Life Initiative.
The “Decent Life” initiative is an unprecedented, radical transformation of the Egyptian countryside by targeting the provision of the needs of Egyptian villages for infrastructure and public services, and creating ways to improve income and provide a decent standard of living for rural communities. This initiative is also considered an ideal model that reflects the combined efforts of all ministries to contribute – each within its scope.
