December 8.. Mars in opposition to the sun

The former head of the astronomy department bNational Institute for Astronomical Research And the geophysicist, Dr. Ashraf Tadros, that the sky witnesses on December 8, the encounter of Mars with the sun.

He added, “The red planet will be in its closest position relative to the Earth on that day, as it is in the position of encounter with the sun, which illuminates the entire face of Mars, so it will be brighter than any other time of the year, and it is the best time to view and photograph Mars, knowing that the full moon will be seen.” Close to Mars all night that day, too.”

He stressed that all observations of astronomical events and phenomena do not have any harm to human health or daily activity on Earth, with the exception of the solar eclipse, as looking at it with the naked eye is very harmful to the eye.

And he continued, “Please bear in mind that all observations of astronomical phenomena and events require a clear atmosphere and a sky free of clouds, dust and water vapor.”
