The 2024 Paris Olympics will be held from July 26 to August 11. The badminton event will run from July 27 to August 5 at the Porte De La Chapelle Arena, aka Adidas Arena.
Indonesian mixed doubles pair Rinov Rivaldy/Pitha Haningtyas Mentari, who appeared as debutants, tried to enjoy every moment.
From preparation, training camp to the match later. Nervousness but excitement gripped the 2017 junior world champion.
“I’m trying to enjoy everything leading up to the Olympics but everyone is nervous, including me,” said Rinov in his statement, (21/7).
When asked about readiness, Rinov/Pitha admitted that everything was on the right track.
“The preparation is quite good. It’s mature, just need to hone what has been trained and prepare mentally for the match,” said Rinov.

Meanwhile, Pitha admitted that she is currently feeling nervous ahead of the Olympic Games. However, she admitted that the nervousness she feels will be used as motivation for her.
“So I want to make this a motivation. So far I really enjoy it because I’ve never felt this before. From the preparation that is different from the usual matches, there are training camps and so on. There is a struggle in itself,” said Pitha.
“One week in Chambly everything went smoothly and we are healthy without any injuries. Thank God,” he added.

Meanwhile, coach Herry Iman Pierngadi said that his players continue to improve.
“Rinov/Pitha’s condition is quite good after one week in Chambly. Their physical condition is not a problem. What is most visible is the way they play, their pattern is getting more solid. It is not easy to die alone,” said Herry.
“The training menu is not much different from the national training, only the intensity is higher, especially in the technique. I also remind the two to continue to maintain communication,” he added.
Rinov/Pitha in this Olympics are in Group A with Chinese representatives, Zheng Si Wei/Huang Ya Qiong who are the top seeds, Korean mainstays, Kim Won Ho/Jeong Na Eun and host representatives Thom Gicquel/Delphine Delrue. (Z-6)
