Not only because of a fact that is serious in itself, but because it happened in the same scenario where in 1994 soldier Omar Carrasco was assassinated, which revealed a perverse system of institutional violence and led to the end of the compulsory military service system.
During the march held on Friday, the soldier’s family demanded an urgent change in the cover, from “doubtful death” to “presumed homicide” because they consider that at this point it is more than evident that third parties intervened in the death of young Córdoba. The definition of the issue depends on several expert studies whose results are pending, such as the extension of the autopsy of the body, ballistic examinations and other studies that take time to reach the court.
