14 people are missing following a plane crash in the Comoros. During the search, the first debris from the plane was found in the coastal region of Djoiezi, the Comorian Ministry of Transport said on Saturday.
According to the airline AB Aviation, the small Cessna machine had disappeared from radar regarding 2.5 kilometers from its destination, the town of Fomboni on the island of Moheli. According to the ministry, there were twelve Comorian citizens and two pilots from Tanzania on board.
In the evening, the authorities initially stopped looking for survivors. «Tomorrow we will continue the search. As long as we haven’t found any bodies, there is hope,” said police officer Abdel-Kader Mohamed.
“I have no hope,” said 55-year-old Idi Boina, whose sister was on board the plane. “Starting tomorrow we will mourn my sister.” (SDA)
