Death on 60th birthday. Actor Tobias Langhoff dies unexpectedly.

Tobias Langhoff is known from TV series or thrillers such as “Bad Banks”, “Tatort” and “Babylon Berlin”. His family has now confirmed that he passed away on his 60th birthday.

Tobias Langhoff died unexpectedly in Berlin on Monday morning, November 28, 2022, exactly on his 60th birthday, his press agent Marketa Modra announced on Wednesday, citing his family.

“We say goodbye to a loving, humorous, helpful and kind man,” his family said in a statement.

Actor colleagues also say goodbye to Tobias Langhoff on social media. So Anna Loos (“Helen Dorn”) posts a picture from earlier times with Langhoff and her husband Jan Josef Liefers (Prof. Börne in “Tatort”), she writes: “My dear Tobi, I will keep you in my heart.”

«Langhoff was born in Berlin in 1962 and comes from a theatrical family. His father was the actor and director Thomas Langhoff (1938-2012), who was artistic director and director at the Deutsches Theater in Berlin from 1991 to 2001. His grandfather, the eminent actor and director Wolfgang Langhoff (1901-1966), directed the Deutsches Theater from 1946 to 1963.»

Langhoff completed an apprenticeship at the Ernst Busch Academy of Dramatic Arts. He has appeared in numerous films and series, such as “Tatort”, “Bad Banks” and most recently in “Babylon Berlin” and Edward Berger’s World War II drama “Nothing New in the West”. There Langhoff played the Prussian major general and military attaché Detlof Sigismund von Winterfeldt.
