With the assassination of Tupac Shakur in 1996, the hip-hop scene lost one of its greatest figures.

It is still unclear who fired the shots from the white Cadillac 26 years ago.

Now an LA gangster is apparently on the verge of being charged with the murder.

26 years following Tupac’s death, investigators apparently have a new hot lead as to who fired the deadly shots at the rapper. “Keefe D”, as Duane Keith Davis is also known, is regarding to be charged in connection with the murder of 2Pac, as the British newspaper “The Sun” reports. Davis is a member of the South Side Compton Crips gang and is believed to be a childhood friend of NWA front rapper Eazy-E.

Gangster bragged regarding killing Tupac

Keefe D bragged regarding his role in the shooting of the famous West Coast rapper in an interview with VLAD TV. Meanwhile, law enforcement agencies have been gathering evidence for months to be presented to a jury in Las Vegas at a September 2023 trial. Keefe D is to be charged with first-degree murder, according to the US magazine “Vibe”.

Las Vegas police recently searched the home of Paula Clemons, Davis’ wife. The search included .40 caliber bullets, computers, photos from the 1990s, a copy of VIBE magazine featuring the late rap star, various USB flash drives, external hard drives, audio recordings of Davis and unidentified individuals, and a copy of his Found the book «Compton Street Legend».

Keefe D is believed to be one of the last two living witnesses

In the book, Keefe D revealed that he was in the white Cadillac from which the fatal shots were fired in 1996.
