This Saturday, April 2, the family of Estelle Harris announced the disappearance of the 93-year-old actress. The actress died of natural causes in her home in Palm Desert, California, a few weeks before celebrating her 94th birthday. “It is with the greatest regret and sadness that I announce that Estelle Harris passed away tonight at 6:25 p.m.,” her son Glen said in a statement. “Her kindness, passion, sensitivity, humor, empathy and love were virtually unmatched, and she will be terribly missed by all who knew her,” he concluded.
His career began in the 1970s
Born on April 22, 1928 in New York, Estelle Harris began her career in the 1970s in the cinema. In 1984, she appeared in Sergio Leone’s testament film “Once upon a time in America”, before multiplying the projects on television. She had notably appeared in “Married with two children”, “Mad regarding you”, “Chicago Hope” or “The life of Palace of Zack and Cody”.
The American had mainly played Estelle Costanza, George’s mother, in the cult series “Seinfeld”. Also devoting herself to dubbing Estelle Harris had become the voice of several characters in animated films, such as “Brother Bear”, “Tarzan 2” or even “Kim Possible” and “The Farm Rebels”. She was also the Madame Patate of “Toy Story”, for which she provided the voice until the last part, released in 2019.
