American actor Lance Reddick, known for his roles in the series The Wire and the movie saga John Wick, died at the age of 60.
Authorities reportedly told TMZ that the actor’s body was found at his Los Angeles residence on Friday morning. The cause of his death is not known at this time, but his death would not appear suspicious.
Lance Reddick is best known for his role as Cedric Daniels in the TV series The Wire. He also appeared in other popular TV shows, such as Law & Order, CSI: Miami, Lost, Oz, Fringe et Resident Evil.
On the big screen, we were able to see the actor, born June 7, 1962 in Baltimore, in the first three installments of the “John Wick” saga, where he played the role of Charon. He was also in the middle of a media tour of the fourth opus of the franchise, which is due to be released in theaters on March 24.
Her debut on television dates back to the late 1990s with appearances in the series “New York Undercover”, “Swift Justice”, as well as in the sitcom “The Nanny”. After a stint in the miniseries “Falcone”, he landed a recurring role in the HBO drama “Oz” in 2000. He then chained contracts and participated in more than forty TV projects and almost as many film projects .
Lance Reddick was to take on the role of Zeus in the developing series “Percy Jackson and the Olympians”. The series should be launched next year on Disney+.
