It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Ann Finnegan (née McCartney), a⁣ beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Ann passed away peacefully on December 20, 2024, at ⁢Our lady ⁤of Lourdes Hospital in Drogheda, surrounded by her loving family. Ann was a cherished member of‌ the Carrickmacross community, formerly of Darver, Co. Louth. she was predeceased by her parents,‍ Peter and​ Elizabeth, as ‌well as her sisters, ⁤Monina, Bridget, Kitty, Olive, and Patricia, and her brothers, Gerard and Aidan.⁤ Ann will be deeply missed and forever‍ remembered by her devoted‍ husband‌ PJ; her daughters, Noreen and breda; her​ sons, Paul, colm, Dermot, and Derek; her‌ much-loved grandchildren Lisa, David, Kate, Shane, ‌Lauren, ‍Ellen, Louise, Rebecca, Chloe, Leah, Aaron, Aoibhe, Edie, Cara, Dylan, Amelia, noah, and Logan; and her six treasured great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind her sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, her brothers, Peter and Brendan, a wide circle of extended family, neighbors, and friends.

Ann ⁢will repose at Lonergan Funeral Directors Funeral Home, Carrickmacross, A81 D328, on Sunday, December 22nd, from 3 pm until 6 pm. Her funeral cortège will leave her home, Cornalaragh, on⁤ Monday, December 23rd, proceeding to St. michaels Church, Corduff, arriving for Funeral Mass at 11 am. Burial will follow in the adjoining Cemetery.
