The PSP arrested a 35-year-old man for drug trafficking in Agualva-Cacém, Sintra. The suspect was intercepted at the train station and, following a house search, more than 18,000 euros in cash and hashish were seized.
The Police questioned him, on the 4th, at 7.45 pm, at the Agualva-Cacém Railway Station, and in his backpack he had some plastic packages, containing 14.92 doses of hashish, an envelope with 1150 euros and 640 euros in a wallet .
Regarding the origin of the money, the detainee stated that they would be “work bonuses, as a waiter”. “Because there is uncertainty in the suspect’s speech and in the clarification regarding the possession of the high monetary value, he was cautiously apprehended and, due to the narcotic, given a voice of arrest”, says the PSP, in a statement released this Wednesday.
Then a house search was carried out, in which 89 doses of hashish were seized, 16,470 euros in cash, a penknife, a razor, seven kitchen knives, 43 firecrackers, two mobile phones, an electronic safe, two pipes, a precision scale , a box with several plastic packages and three sheets with notes of names and monetary values.
The detainee was heard in the first judicial interrogation at the Local Criminal Instance, Criminal and Petty Crime Section of Sintra, having been notified to appear on the next 19th.
