TOLEDO, Ohio (WTVG) – Toledo Police announced Wednesday that three people are facing criminal charges in the deadly shooting of a Springfield High School football player.
Police say they arrested 18-year-old Grant Lynn and another 17-year-old boy on Murder charges in the death of 16-year-old Eric Scott on Wednesday. A third person, another 17-year-old boy, is also facing a murder charge in the case but is not yet in police custody. 13 Action News does not name minors accused of crimes unless the courts have certified them as adults.
TPD records say Scott was shot on Hunters Trail on Dec. 20, 2023. Officers on the scene said Scott was taken to a nearby hospital in a private vehicle following the shooting. The coroner’s office said he died from two gunshot wounds to the torso and ruled his death a homicide.
