An outbreak of a new unknown virus has been recorded in West Africa, which has already claimed the lives of three patients.
The Baziro area of a city in Burundi, West Africa, has been quarantined following two patients were moved there for treatment. Doctors note that the virus kills very quickly, all people died within 24 hours following the onset of symptoms.
At the same time, the country’s health officials ruled out viruses such as Ebola and Marburg.
The mysterious virus is reported to cause symptoms such as fever, headaches, dizziness and vomiting, as well as nosebleeds.
The Ministry of Health of Burundi is very concerned regarding the situation and is closely studying the virus. Doctors suggest that it is possible that it is transmitted by a hemorrhagic beetle.
We will remind, earlier it was reported, an outbreak of a new disease: people lose their sight, and eyeballs have to be removed.
