According to the “BCC” report, an explosion occurred at a gas station in Makhachkala (Makhachkala), the capital of the southern Russian Republic of Dagestan, at around 9:00 p.m. on the 14th, killing at least 30 people. The cause of the explosion is yet to be clarified. It is reported that the fire has spread to 600 square meters, and there may be a risk of further explosions. A witness said the fire started in the parking lot across from the gas station. The Russian Investigative Committee pointed out that the fire occurred during the repair work of the car, accompanied by a loud bang, and the authorities have opened a case for investigation.
It is understood that the Republic of Dagestan is one of the Russian Federation, located in the southernmost tip of the country, Makhachkala is 1600 kilometers away from Moscow. Dagestan’s health ministry said 13 of the injured were children. Witnesses said it was like a war zone.
