We announced it this morning: a deadly settling of scores, opposing two groups of enemy bikers, occurred the night of Friday to Saturday during a dance party under a marquee in Péronnes (Antoing). The victim was hit once by a vehicle which then turned around before returning a second time on the body which was on the ground. There is therefore intention, hence the prevention of assassination. In fact, the author had to go to his vehicle before returning to the scene of the fight. There is premeditation. The man who was beaten with a hammer during the fight was injured but his life is not in danger. At this stage of the investigation, the witness hearings are continuing. A person, a man, was arrested, ”said the king’s prosecutor once more.
According to the first elements of the investigation, a settling of accounts between two groups of enemy bikers would be at the origin of the tragedy. “This deadly fight went well in the middle of motorcycle gangs,” confirms the prosecution. The fight took place outside the marquee where the opening dance party of the festive and sporting weekend was taking place, organized by the SPJAI, the professional service for independent agricultural youth. During the evening, a band of hooded bikers arrived on site. The individuals immediately attacked a man who was beaten up. The perpetrators of this beating quickly fled.
The Wallonia Picardy emergency services were called on Saturday, around 1:30 a.m. The firefighters intervened with a victim hider, a lighting truck, a beaconing truck and a command vehicle. At the time of this bloody brawl, a thousand people were under the marquee. After being confined under the canvas, the revelers were evacuated by the police via an emergency exit. “By order of the police and the municipal authorities, all the weekend festivities are cancelled”, announced this Saturday at the end of the followingnoon the SPJA of Tournai.
