Dr. Muhammad Al-Dakhili, Director General of the Aswan Ambulance Facility, revealed the details of the horrific accident that took place on the Edfu-Marsa Alam road, which resulted in the death of people and the injury of 42 others today, Monday.
Major General Magdy Salem, Aswan Security Director, received a notification from the Edfu police station chief of a collision accident on Edfu Road today, Monday, between a microbus, on its way to attend a wedding, and another four-wheeler loaded with workers.
The Director General of the Aswan Ambulance Facility stated that a collision was reported at kilometer 67 on the Edfu / Marsa Alam road, and 19 ambulances were immediately dispatched to the accident site.
During his statements, the Director General of Aswan Ambulance added that 3 cars were used from the Red Sea Ambulance Facility, to contribute to transporting the victims to hospitals.
Al-Dakhili added that the participating ambulances were able to transfer the 42 injured to Horus General Hospital in Edfu and the University Hospital in Aswan, to receive the necessary medical care.
