Even if all attempts by FC Barcelona to sign Robert Lewandowski have failed so far, the Catalans are not giving up. Barça are still pushing for a signing of the FIFA World Player and have set a clear timetable to do so.
With its last offer of 40 million euros plus eight million euros in bonus payments, FC Barcelona received their third rejection last week. Nevertheless, the transfer poker regarding the Pole is picking up speed. One indication is, among other things, the fact that the Munich team is now in contact with Barça, which was not the case in the weeks before. However, there have not yet been any concrete negotiations between the two clubs. The German record champions are still insisting on a fixed transfer fee of 50 million euros before they want to sit down at the negotiating table with the Spaniards.
“We are very flattered that he wants to come to Barça”
Selon Gerard Romero:
????????Lewandowski is expected to sign before July 12.
???????? Regarding Raphinha, there is an agreement with Leeds and only one detail is missing.

Barcelona President Joan Laporta commented on the current situation surrounding Lewandowski last weekend, but was very reticent: “Everyone knows he’s a great player, but I’d rather keep things quiet because he’s a Bayern Player is.” The 60-year-old indicated at the same time that both Lewandowski and Barça themselves are still hoping for a happy ending: “We know that he has publicly stated that he wants to come to Barça and we feel it very flattered.”
Even if there have been different reports in the past few days regarding the Catalans’ further action, especially with regard to the question of whether they will make an improved offer once more, Laporta & Co. seem to be firmly convinced that the transfer will be “in the coming days”.
Lewy Poker is heating up
As Barça insider Gerard Romero claims to have learned, the Lewandowski deal is to be completed by July 12. This would not only save the 33-year-old from taking part in Bayern’s pre-season preparations, but Lewandowski might also start the upcoming US tour with Barcelona, which begins on July 16.
Whether this plan works depends largely on the Spaniards’ willingness to pay. Should Barcelona increase their offer to €50m, it might indeed happen very quickly. Reason: Lewandowski and Barça should have agreed on a change for weeks.
