Dead Island 2 unveils hyper gore gameplay and voice controls via Amazon Alexa | Xbox One

Years following its initial announcement, it would appear that Dead Island 2 finally ready to go out. The zombie game has passed through several hands, but it is with Dambuster Studios that it will finally be able to see the light of day. The studio had announced that it would unveil gameplay in early December, and it kept its word.

Dead Island 2 reveals its gameplay

We were indeed treated to a long presentation of the game during which the studio unveiled new gameplay. The latter took place in the middle of a short live action film featuring the six characters of the game in the streets of Hell-A.

The least we can say is that the title will be more brutal than ever thanks to the FLESH system, which allows you to cut, dismember, or slice zombies procedurally with advanced damage localization. The player will have many ways to overcome the threat and will obviously also be able to craft powerful weapons.

Chamber zombies with Amazon Alexa

In addition to offering a title with assumed brutality, Dambuster Studios integrates Alexa connected speakers to allow you to attract zombies while you play. It will also be possible to change weapons by voice and interact with NPCs directly from the Amazon enclosure.

Finally, the studio unveiled the collector’s edition of the game which leaked on the web several weeks ago. Offered at a price of €99.99, it includes various bonuses, the details of which can be found below.
