Dead Island 2 should come back from the dead

The cooperative FPS could be released in 2023.

In limbo since the abandonment of the project by the Sumo studio, Dead Island 2 could well be back this year, if we are to believe the words of journalist Tom Henderson, who claims that the title should be presented during the next Game Awards at the end of the year, and to be released in 2023 on PC and consoles.

The title would be passed back into the hands of Dambuster Studios, which would have started from scratch while retaining some elements of the title that had been presented previously. In this case, the game would still take place in California and would offer to embody up to six different protagonists, who will have to face an army of zombies. Dead Island 2 would offer several environments, from LA to San Francisco. Like its predecessor, the focus would be on melee, first-person combat. However, firearms would also be on the program. Dead Island 2 would also have been thought of as a co-op game.

According to Tom Henderson, the project is already well advanced. It should logically be presented to us soon. And most likely as part of the Game Awards, at the end of the year.
