Dead and wounded in Israeli shelling targeting displaced people’s tents inside Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital

A statement issued by the office said: “The Israeli occupation army committed a massacre at dawn today, Sunday, August 4, 2024, inside the walls of Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital by bombing several tents for the displaced, which led to the deaths of 4 martyrs and more than 18 injuries so far, including serious injuries that the medical teams in the hospital are dealing with.”

The media office added: “We condemn in the strongest terms the occupation’s commission of this new massacre, which is added to a series of massacres that have been ongoing for more than 300 days of genocide against our defenceless Palestinian people. We hold the Israeli occupation and the US administration fully responsible for these ongoing crimes, and we call on the entire world to condemn them.”

The office called on the international community and international and UN organizations to “pressure the occupation to stop the war of genocide and stop the bloodbath flowing in the Gaza Strip.”

The spokesman for Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital said: “This is the third time that the occupation has targeted the displaced people inside the hospital.”

Earlier on Saturday, RT’s correspondent in the Gaza Strip reported that 15 civilians were killed and others were injured after an Israeli bombardment targeted a room in a school housing displaced people in the Sheikh Radwan neighborhood, north of Gaza City.

For its part, the Israeli army said that “the IDF bombed a Hamas command and control center that was used to manufacture weapons and was previously known as the Hamama School Complex in the northern Gaza Strip.”

The death toll from the Israeli war on Gaza has reached 39,550 and 91,280 injuries since October 7, 2023, according to the latest figures announced by the Ministry of Health in the Strip.
