DDR5 SK Hynix A-die 16 GB 5600B single rank

After a first test of puces A-die on a set dual rank from SK Hynix, today we are moving to the version single rank. It is a 2×16 GB kit which should be able to make us reach more than 8000 Mt/s on the Intel platform. Let’s see if these chips A-die in single rank offers high-level performance as expected.

Here we are on the first bars available for purchase (in China), designed and manufactured directly by SK Hynix. It will be very difficult to get some without contact on site. But count around 400 € for a 2×16 GB kit. Kits retails are gradually arriving on the market at Teamgroup or V-color at prices above 400 €. CornerJack has also received its first kit A-die this Friday is Teamgroup Delta RGB 7200 Mt/s CL34.

For the kit tested today, no XMP, but only JEDEC profiles peaking at 5600 Mt/s CL46 for 1.1 V with the promise of reaching frequencies and performances never seen (we have already seen 7800 Mt/s CL32 here in 2×16 GB).

Since CornerJack is not testing this kit, I might not compare it to other kits previously tested. However, we leave you the freedom to watch and compare with the results obtained on his Z690 APEX.

Small recap of the kits previously tested by Cornerjack:

Although this is not a comparative test, we still ran a kit with an XMP 6000 Mt/s CL40 so that you can get an idea of the performance. A performance comparison with the kits overclockés in game and bench will also be released shortly.

So, a little comment on the choice of unit for the memory frequency. For several months, manufacturers and several of our colleagues no longer use MHz to talk regarding memory frequency. Either some use MT/s or Mbps. On our side, we will pass on MT/s at present while waiting to see what will become of the new standard.
