Lunenburg ∙ On Canada’s National Day, a procession of one hundred dancers performed as part of the National Day celebrations in Lunenburg, Nova Scotia. The members of the Malayalee Associations of Nova Scotia namely Manama and HRM participated in the program organized by the South Shore Malayali Association.
At the end of Thiruvathirakali, the dancers lined up in the shape of Canada’s national symbol, the maple leaf, to salute the National Day celebrations. The event also holds the record for being the largest dance event in Nova Scotia.
On behalf of the South Shore Malayali Association, Tom Baby Mathiparampil, Venu Balakrishnan, Sangeeta Geethakumari, Nancy Pradeep, Animol Mathew, Meera Gokul and Jerin George led the event.
