On Wednesday, July 31 and Thursday, August 1, during the post-election week, citizens of the state of Merida have held days of prayer for family and social reunion, for peace and democracy, for the fallen and those arrested, demonstrating in each of the meetings the faith of the people of Merida.
The prayer sessions were held as a family, in the streets, with candles lit on improvised altars, accompanied by songs and Venezuelan flags.
In the city of El Vigía, Alberto Adriani municipality, the prayer meetings were held on Bolívar Avenue, in front of Plaza Bolívar and the Cathedral of Our Lady of Perpetual Help, with the map of Venezuela and children as the protagonists on the altar of July 31, and the patron saint of this city as the protagonist on the altar of August 1.
Likewise, in the Alta Vista and Villa de los Ángeles sectors, in the Rafael Pulido Méndez parish of that city, they simultaneously held days of prayer for Venezuela.
In the town of Pueblo Llano, a municipality of the same name, in the Mérida moorland, as well as on the corner of the IVSS, on Las Américas Avenue in the city of Mérida, prayer vigils were held with the recitation of the Holy Rosary, by the light of hundreds of candles.
