Before more than 30,000 Once Caldas fans, at the Palogrande Stadium in Manizales, Dayro Moreno celebrated his 225 goals in Colombian professional soccer, the scoring record in the National League.

The scorer arrived on the field, with the stands completely packed, by helicopter, unleashing madness among all the Manizale fans.

It was known that Once Caldas’ party was going to be total to celebrate their striker, since Moreno made the record last week.

However, the impressive setting at the Palogrande, to celebrate Dayro Moreno’s legacy, was wonderful.

In the middle of the party, Dayro Moreno got off the helicopter, as soon as it landed, to celebrate with the people.

The scorer was seen very excited and singing along with the musical band that was on the field to celebrate the scorer.

In the midst of the celebrations, Dayro Moreno, along with his family, also thanked the fans and everyone who came to Palogrande this Monday.

“The Once Caldas fans, without words, for me it is an immense thing. I thank you, this will always remain in my life,” said Moreno, who had to stop talking because he might not contain his tears.

“It is a great pride. Knowing that I am the greatest scorer in Colombian soccer and having done so with this shirt. Since I arrived in Manizales, since I left Chicoral, I came with the dream of making history. And here I got it. I went and came back, but always with a white heart,” said the record-breaking man in Colombian soccer.

Against Deportivo Independiente Medellín, last week, Dayro Moreno achieved the historical record of being the top scorer in history in Colombian professional soccer.

The Tolim native surpassed the Argentine Sergio Galván Rey and with 225 goals he was at the top of the championship’s all-time scoring table.
