Under the leadership of the Minister of Youth and Sports, the sports hall of Bamako refused the world this Saturday, despite a blazing sun that fell on the Malian capital. Malian youth in all its components and diversities responded favorably to the call of the Minister of Youth and Sports to support the transition.
Under the theme: “Contribution of Malian youth for a united and prosperous Mali”, the event was placed under the high presidency of the Col, Assimi GOITA, president of the transition.
For the Minister, the young people who responded to his call are of diverse political, cultural and linguistic backgrounds, but have Mali as one common good. According to the Minister, without young people the future is futile. To add, their challenge is to enable youth to realize their full potential. Through the vision of the national youth policy, Mali is resolutely committed to making its youth an essential and decisive player in its economic, social and cultural development… This mobilization, beyond serving as a framework for exchange and sharing, presents itself as the place of reprinting of patriotism, so that the reforms envisaged find their echoes in the youth, he recalls. To this end, he wishes to urge young people to support and accompany, without reservation, the highest authorities in the implementation of the major transition projects, the ultimate objective of which is to restore Mali’s image and restore its its place in the concert of nations. In addition, he particularly wishes to engage young people, through self-sacrifice and civic awareness, to carry out these ongoing reforms.
The opportunity was good for him to reassure the youth that he would be at his side not only for the operationalization of the manifesto but also, and above all, to better succeed in the mission of the youth in the construction of our homeland…
Abdoulaye TOURE, spokesperson for the former CNJ, asks young people not to let others do it for them. Then, he urges them to get involved and fight to help the authorities achieve the desired results.
Abib DAKOUA, the president of the CNJ, did not miss the opportunity to reassure his Minister and the President of the transition, the unwavering support of the Malian youth, in order to materialize the aspirations of the highest authorities of the transition. He asks the youth to stay united because according to him, nothing solid and lasting can be achieved in division.
It should be noted that this day was a real springboard for the Malian youth of all its components and its diversities, from Kayes to Kidal and that of the diaspora, with a single watchword, “support for the transition”.
The event recorded the presence of customary chiefs of Mali, youth from all regions of Mali, the Malian diaspora, several Ministers of the transition, presidents of the CNJ of Burkina Faso, no less President of the Youth Coordination of Africa and that of Guinea Conakry…
The handing over of the manifesto by the president of the CNJ to the Minister of Youth who in turn hands it over to the Minister of State, Administration and Territorial Collectivity. Musical performances and awarding of certificates and recognition tables to the Minister of Youth, to the President of the transition, and to the various organizers of the event were the highlights of the event.
