Day 700 | Fight against COVID-19: Venezuela registers 1,228 new infections and adds 486,500 healed patients

A total of 1,228 new cases of COVID-19 were detected in the last 24 hours by the Venezuelan health authorities, of which 1,221 are from community transmission and four are imported, bringing the accumulated total of confirmed infections to 505,947. while the recovery rate is 96%, adding a total of 486 thousand 500 patients healed thanks to the free treatments guaranteed by the Bolivarian Government.

This was announced this Sunday by the Vice President of the Republic, Delcy Rodriguezduring the usual daily balance offered by the Presidential Commission for the Control and Prevention of COVID-19, through its account on the social network Twitter, @delcyrodriguezve.

He reported that the community cases of the day were detected in 18 entities of the country: Carabobo 415, Miranda 222, Caracas 130, Bolívar 109, Mérida 102, Zulia 87, Aragua 43, Yaracuy 37, Delta Amacuro 28, La Guaira 19, Portuguesa 17 , Anzoátegui 3, Lara 3, Monagas 2, Trujillo 1, Cojedes 1, Falcón 1 and Sucre 1.

Carabobo this time it has the highest number of infections in the day, with new cases in 12 of 14 municipalities: Valencia 167, Montalbán 125, Guacara 35, Bejuma 26, Naguanagua 18, San Diego 16, Libertador 15, Juan José Mora 7, Los Guayos 2, Miranda 2, Puerto Cabello 1 and San Joaquin 1.

In international cases, 7 were registered, all from Turkey with entry through La Guaira.

11 new deceased victims of COVID-19 were reported:

5 – Caracas: men aged 88, 82, 74, 52 and 35 years old.

3 – Sucre: 2 men aged 89, 68 and 1 woman aged 66.

1 – Lara: 55-year-old man.

1 – Yaracuy: 61-year-old woman.

1 – Zulia: 40-year-old woman.

The Bolivarian Government expresses its sorrow and words of solidarity with the families and friends of the victims.

In week 100 and day 700 of the pandemic in our country, these are its general statistics:

  • Recovered patients: 486,500 (96%).
