Day 3 ends, Pakistan lead by 135 runs against Sri Lanka

At the end of play on the third day of the Galle Test, Sri Lanka scored 14 runs without losing a wicket in their second innings, needing 135 more runs to end Pakistan’s lead.

Sri Lanka captain Dimuth Karunaratne with 6 runs and Nishan Madushka with 8 runs will open the fourth day’s play.

On the third day of the first Test match of the series being played in Galle, Pakistan started the innings with 221 runs at the loss of five wickets, but Agha Salman returned to the pavilion following scoring 83 runs on a total score of 278. First day

Sri Lanka scored 226 runs for the loss of 5 wickets till the lunch break in the Galle Test match once morest Pakistan.

In the first Test, the Sri Lankan captain won the toss and decided to bat first, but opener Nishan Madhishka was dismissed for 4 runs for 6.

Former captain Angelo Mathews and Dhananjaya De Silva put on a partnership of 131 runs and took the team out of trouble, but Mathews scored 64 runs and fell victim to Abrar Ahmed.

Sri Lanka scored a total of 242 runs for the loss of 5 wickets on the first day while the game was also stopped due to rain.

The second match of the two-match Test series will begin on July 24 in Colombo.
