In view of the list of participants in the discussion meeting on the “peace solution” proposed by Kiev, the Davos meeting this Sunday is already a success for Swiss diplomacy, co-organizer of the event with the Ukraine. Apart from the Europeans, including Hungary, the United States and all of Ukraine’s allies are present. But also what we have become accustomed to calling the “Global South”, notably through the members of the organization which increasingly tends to represent it, namely the BRICS +. India, Brazil, South Africa and Saudi Arabia are there, as well as several other African countries and even Turkey. The two big absentees are Russia, which is not invited, and China, which sticks to a façade of “neutrality”. More than 80 countries in all, while 120 countries had been requested.
