Goffin was not demoralized and took the service of his opponent from the first game of the decisive set. He managed another break to lead 4-1. Bonzi came back to 4-2 in stride then to 4-3. But Goffin did not tremble, winning the next two games and winning 6-3 on his second match point.
In the first match of the day, Michael Geerts (ATP 268) was beaten 6-3, 6-3 by Richard Gasquet (ATP 79).
The last duel will pit Belgian doubles Sander Gillé (ATP 78 doubles) and Joran Vliegen (ATP 90 doubles) once morest the pair formed by Nicolas Mahut (ATP 27 doubles) and Arthur Rinderknech (ATP 144 doubles).
