David Koller is leaving the band Lucie. The band’s keyboardist Michal Dvořák confirmed this to Radiožurnál. But the planned concerts will not be canceled, Lucie assured on her official Facebook page. She did not mention whether the departure of the frontman will have any larger consequences for the band. Koller started playing in the group in 1987. He broke up with the band already in 2005, they got back together seven years later.

However, fans do not have to worry regarding concerts being cancelled. “We are parting on good terms and we have agreed that together we will play all the contracted concerts until the end of the summer holidays,” Lucie assured on her Facebook page.

Lucie has been active on the Czech and Czechoslovakian music scene since 1988. That’s when she entered the scene with the single Pár fíglů, since then she has released fifteen more singles and eight albums. But the band has existed since 1985 and is regarding to celebrate its 40th birthday.

“Lucie is moving on, preparing a new album and celebrating her 40th birthday,” the band wrote.

Lucie didn’t mention what Koller’s departure would mean for the rest of the group. In the past, however, its members changed quite often, its founders Robert Kodym and Petr Chovanec also left.
