Footballer, model, sports club owner, David Beckham is known everywhere and to everyone. He is an international icon. But who is hiding behind the beautiful tattooed Englishman? What personality? What flaws? Netflix will soon unveil a documentary series dedicated to the former Manchester United star. According to information from the Daily Mail, in this series, David Beckham gets naked.
He shares in particular one of his daily difficulties: he suffers from obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD). Odds that force him to spend several hours every day cleaning his house. The 47-year-old can’t go to bed without polishing every corner of his house.
“When everyone’s in bed, I go around [de la maison], I clean the candles, I turn on the lights at the right setting, I make sure everything is tidy. I hate coming down in the morning and seeing there are cups, plates and bowls… It’s tiring to walk around every candle to clean it. I cut the wax from the candles, I clean the glass. […] I know, it’s weird,” shares David Beckam.
Pepsi cans
In 2006, Beckham was already confiding in this difficulty. “I have this obsessive compulsive disorder where I always have to put everything in a straight line or everything has to go in pairs (…) I put my cans of Pepsi in the fridge and if there’s an odd number , I put one in another closet. In a hotel room, before I can relax, I have to pick up all the brochures and books and put them in a drawer. Everything has to be perfect. I I tried but I can’t stop.”
