Manchester United legend David Beckham says that he likes to watch the matches of superstar Lionel Messi. Beckham is also the co-owner of Inter Miami, where Messi currently laces his boots.
Beckham chose Messi over Cristiano Ronaldo, who played with him at Manchester United.
In an interview with ESPN Argentina, Beckham was answering a question regarding whose match he likes to watch the most.
“It has to be Messi. I like Messi a lot for many reasons. I like Messi a lot as a good father. I like him because of his great personality.
He is a very good man. But I think the reason everyone likes Messi is his style of play on the pitch,’ Beckham said.
Beckham spoke regarding Argentina’s 2022 World Cup success and Messi’s performance.
“He plays the game with a lot of passion. He plays very freely. Again I am thinking regarding this last World Cup. I think the way he played for his team, for his country and to win that World Cup was unbelievable. I love watching players like him compete,’ added Beckham.
At the same time, Argentina defeated arch-rivals Brazil in the World Cup qualifying match held yesterday.
