Mohammed VI Polytechnic University (UM6P) and Domaines Agricoles have created a Joint Venture under the name “DAUMTECH”, for the development of advanced AgriTech solutions and the promotion of sustainable and efficient agricultural practices.
“DAUMTECH is the culmination of four years of R&D partnership between Domaines Agricoles and UM6P. Its creation heralds the start of a new era of development in the field of precision agriculture, marking a major transition towards agricultural practices that are more resilient in the face of climate change,” we said in a press release. Two distinct categories of crops are concerned: those falling under national food sovereignty such as cereals and fodder crops and those intended for export, notably citrus fruits and red fruits.
By combining the agronomic know-how of Domaines Agricoles with the advanced technology of UM6P, DAUMTECH aims to translate Moroccan agronomic expertise into cutting-edge digital solutions accessible to farmers and other stakeholders in the agricultural ecosystem in Morocco. and elsewhere. Solutions for the rational management of fertilization, precision irrigation, prediction of agricultural yields and Carbon Farming.

The ultimate objective of this Joint Venture is to promote the adoption of sustainable agricultural practices, combining economic efficiency and environmental preservation, to anchor Morocco’s position as a regional hub in the precision agriculture sector.
