Latvian ice hockey players won away from Denmark with a score of 6:3 (3:0, 2:1, 1:2)

Latvia took the lead in the ninth minute of the match, when Daugavins scored most of the goals after the passes of Ronald Ėeniņš and Rodrigo Ābol.
A little more than four minutes later, Chukste doubled the advantage, to whom Roberts Bukarts passed effectively. In the 16th minute, Deniss Smirnovs fought for the puck behind the Denmark goal, passing it to Rihards Bukart, after which the puck came to Dzierkals, who sent it into the home team’s goal (3:0).
At the beginning of the second period, the Danes took advantage of Latvia’s rejection and realized the majority, but after about nine minutes, Daugavins restored the three-goal lead by getting the second accurate shot.
In the 34th minute of the game, Latvian hockey players gained the majority and Ābols was able to use it only ten seconds later, sending the puck into the Danish goal.
In the third period, the Danish hockey players managed to recover two goals, but less than five minutes before the end of the regular time, Daugavins beat the home team’s goalkeeper for the third time.
Extra time was played for training purposes, in which no more goals were scored. On the other hand, in the series of shots after the game, Rihards Bukarts and Daugaviņas realized their “bullishes”, and Latvia conceded 2:3.
Among the candidates who continued the training camp this week, Haralds Egle, Jānis Jaks, Georg Golovkovs, Filips Buncis and Oskars Cibulskis did not go to this match.
So far, the Latvian national team has won and lost to Polish, British and Swiss hockey players in test matches.
The World Championship, which will be held jointly in the Finnish cities of Tampere and Riga, will take place from May 12 to 28.
One group match will take place in Riga, where Canada, the Czech Republic, Switzerland, Slovakia, Latvia, Norway, Kazakhstan and Slovenia will compete, as well as two quarter-final matches. The Latvian national team will play its first match on May 12, when it will compete against the Canadians.
