2024 Olympic Games: Date, times and details of Guatemala’s participation in Paris

The Paris 2024 Olympic Games are set to be a sporting event where the eyes of the world will be focused on the French capital for almost three weeks.
Some 10,500 athletes from 206 countries will meet in the French summer for 19 uninterrupted days in 32 sports, 45 disciplines and 329 medal events.
For Guatemala, the 2024 Paris Games will be its sixteenth presence in the world’s largest multidisciplinary event. Since its first participation in Helsinki (Finland) in 1952, the country has only missed three editions (between 1956 and 1964), Since Mexico 1968 to date there has always been Guatemalan representation in the Olympic Games.
A total of 16 Guatemalan athletes have qualified for Paris 2024, either through continental access, records, ranking or by invitation.
The national delegation will be composed of Five women and nine men in 7 sports and 12 events.
When and at what time will Guatemalan athletes compete at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games?
After the opening parade on the River Seine in Paris where all the delegations will present their athletes to the eyes of the world, the fight for medals will begin. Given the time difference between France and Guatemala, some of the athletes who will see action in Paris 2024 will compete in the Parisian morning and followingnoon hours, which results in certain events occur in the Guatemalan early morning.
The first to appear on the scene in France for Guatemala will be Olympic debutant Jacqueline Solís in the -48kg judo category and veteran Kevin Cordón in badminton, while the official event will be closed by long distance runner Alberto González in the marathon.
