After nearly five years of free rides, the Los Angeles Department of Transportation (LADOT) will be reinstating fares on DASH buses starting this Saturday, January 11, 2025. The standard fare will revert to 50 cents, the same rate in place before the pandemic.

Several Options for Discounted or Free Rides

While the standard fare is returning, there are still several ways to ride DASH for less or even free. Passengers can enjoy a discounted rate of 35 cents by using stored value on a TAP card.

Children of pre-school age ride free when accompanied by an adult (up to two children per fare-paying adult).
