DAS Solar signs contract with Munich Re and WTW to guarantee module performance

Quzhou, China, March 3, 2023 (Archyde.com) /PRNewswire/ On February 20, 2023, DAS Solar announced its collaboration with Munich Re Green Tech Solutions Team (hereinfollowing “Munich Re”) and insurance brokerage team Willis Power and New Energy on PV module warranty insurance. DAS Solar 2023 PV module production, sold regionally and internationally is protected by insurance from Munich Re and its primary insurance partner.

As a market leader in reinsurance, Munich Re’s policy forms a strong backbone for DAS Solar’s PV modules and strengthens the company’s credibility. To meet international PV warranty requirements, Munich Re’s PV module warranty policy offers a 25-year warranty for single glass modules and a 30-year warranty for double glass modules. The product and performance guarantee risks over the entire life cycle are largely transferred to this insurance policy.

Kollsman Chan, deputy director of Munich Re, emphasized that Munich Re is concerned regarding the quality of manufacturers and has in fact avoided offering manufacturers a policy of poor quality control by conducting thorough risk assessment and factory testing. DAS Solar passed the exam, proving that it is committed to providing quality products and only using trusted technology. Kollsman hopes that DAS Solar will achieve commercial success by working with Munich Re.

“As one of the first insurance brokers to set up a new energy department,” said Lv Yuxiang, director of Willis Insurance Brokers, “Willis mainly serves first-class PV brands and is Munich Re’s largest partner in China. With the rapid development “In the photovoltaic industry in recent years, DAS Solar has become a new top brand in the photovoltaic industry within four years. I hope that we can strengthen the impact of the DAS Solar brand in the global market through this three-way cooperation.”

Vincent Cao, Senior Vice President of DAS Solar, said: “With Munich Re as our risk transfer partner for this year, DAS Solar can allocate more resources to improve our products and services. Both regional and international customers of DAS Solar will benefit from the insurance benefits of Munich Re”. Going forward, DAS Solar will continue to expand its footprint and develop more high-quality and high-efficiency PV products to support international customers.
