RIYADH: Fans will be able to watch their favorite Disney stories aired live on ice at Boulevard Arena in Riyadh until September 21.
They will be able to join their favorite characters while performing “Disney on Ice Presents Mickey and Friends”.
The show is a collaboration between Feld Entertainment, which produces the program, and the General Entertainment Authority, which aims to diversify entertainment options in the Kingdom.
At the opening ceremony, the children dressed up as a Disney character and danced and sang along with the show.
During the show, the audience can join Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck and Goofy. Hosts invite viewers to join the action by guiding their friends through Disney stories on the Mickey Mouse Pad and highlighting special moments from the beloved classic.
While Moana finds the courage to protect her island during an adventure on the high seas with the hero, Maui, families set sail with them.

Sergio Artegues, head of marketing at FELD Entertainment, said he mightn’t describe how magical this trip to Saudi Arabia was.
“I am so excited to be here, Mickey, Minnie, Donald and Goofy are soaked in the love and warmth they felt here in Saudi Arabia,” he said.
Keri Jones, tour manager, said Saudi Arabia surprised her and was excited to be here.
“I don’t know what I was expecting but everyone was very welcome,” she said. “We know people are excited regarding Disney On Ice, and we’re really excited to bring him here.”
“The idea of coming to Saudi Arabia has been around for five years and we started talking with production and we started talking three months ago; We arrived two weeks ago and began a rehearsal period for the cast and crew; Now we are ready.”
The Arab News team spoke with the skaters who came from the USA to perform in the Kingdom.
“We train and spend a lot of time rehearsing the show so everyone can come and enjoy the magic,” said Josh, one of the skaters.
“I am originally from Canada so snow is a natural thing for me, especially skiing, and in the name of all of us, I can say we love it here,” said Melina, another skater. “The food is great, we feel very welcome and hope you enjoy the show,” she said.
In Live Your Story, participants join Disney Princesses as they use perseverance, determination, and hard work to inspire Mickey and children around the world to share their favorite Disney memories.
Sisters Lara and Alain Al Jamia expressed their happiness with the wonderful presentation.
“I was overwhelmed with the show and I am glad I saw it because it was the first show in the Kingdom,” the university said. We enjoyed seeing our favorite characters, especially Elsa from Frozen.”
