“The authors of the new song ’Lecamar Friend’ are Jānis daugalis, founder of the group ‘Tuman’ and the young vocalist Janis Dreimanis, who, of course, is not an easy task to be a soloist in a group of well-known musicians Martins Freimanis and Walter Friedenberg, who have already left this world,” shares a statement.
Recorded at Factory Sounds Studio wiht producer Gints Stankevich, the song’s accompanying video was expertly crafted by Kaspars Dvinskis. Initially titled “jumping out, friend,” the name evolved into the catchy “jumping friend” upon the suggestion of drummer Uldis Knaps.
“the song is like a friend’s invitation to go home on Friday night, go for fun and leave your daily worries. The song is very suitable for Friday’s feelings when two holidays are expected,” explain the musicians.“When Friday comes, the current working week is over and it seems that you are tired and don’t want anything. At such moments, the best to help is your ‘jumping friend!’ The one who can call at any time, the one who can ’go in life’ to have fun and look for adventures. This is our dedication to such a friend. Therefore, we have introduced a new name to denote such a friend. We wish everyone have such a ‘jumping friend’!”
