Game news Dark Souls: now that Elden Ring is out, an annoying bug is being fixed

At the very beginning of the year, a major security breach was identified for the Dark Souls trilogy on PC, forcing the developers to close the servers for the games concerned. Today, the problem is still not solved… but it could be the case soon.
A difficult problem to manage
Remember: last January, a flaw of great importance had been spotted on the PC versions of Dark Souls Remastered, Dark Souls II et Dark Souls III : this obviously allowed ill-intentioned people to steal players’ personal data and even to install malicious software on the PC of others. All this through the online functions of the said games!
A major problem that Japanese developers quickly took seriously with a simple solution: disable the features concerned and the servers. The problem is that the launch ofElden Ring was then imminent and the developers had to put the resolution of this bug on hold, the time that their new baby is offered to the whole world.
Soon an update?
Over Thirteen Million Elden Rings Laterit’s not FromSoftware but the publisher Bandai Namco who took the liberty of responding to a user, on Redditwhen the latter asked where the correction of this painful concern was. And it is obviously on its way:
I’m happy to confirm that the developers are actively working on resolving the issue in question and getting the Dark Souls PC servers back up and running as quickly as possible.

Even if we don’t have a date to sink our teeth into, it is always good to know that the Japanese developers are currently on the spot and that yes, the servers of the three Dark Souls on PC will reopen their doors, almost six months after their closure.
