The long-promised demo of the large-scale modification Dark Souls: Archthrones for the fantasy role-playing action game Dark Souls 3 is finally received exact release date. The announcement was accompanied by a new gameplay trailer.
Let us remind you that the developers of Dark Souls: Archthrones from The Archthrones Team promised to release a demo last September, but development was delayed. However, the wait is not long now.
As the creators announced in the new trailer, the demo version of Dark Souls: Archthrones will be available for download this week, March 15. The mod will be free, but will require a copy of Dark Souls 3 with all the extras.
Viewers who had been waiting for the release in the comments thanked the developers for such a short period between the announcement and the release of the demo, and also appreciated the scale of the mod. “They made Dark Souls 4 without a joke”– can’t get enough of it Li Boom.
The one and a half minute trailer showed an analogue of the Nexus (a modified Fire Temple from DS3), five unique worlds where the events of Archthrones will unfold (including the desert kingdom of Carthus), and clashes with their inhabitants.
The authors call Archthrones a mod of unprecedented size, transforming Dark Souls 3 and comparable in scale to it. Demo will be felt “like a standalone game” and will offer a lot of exciting activities.
The mod is positioned as a prequel to Dark Souls 3. They promise a redesigned character development system, new locations, enemies, bosses and voiced NPCs, as well as elements (design, techniques, animations) from other FromSoftware games.
