Start dusting off your neurons, since Dark Deity is coming to Switch on March 17th.
Very first game from the Sword and Ax studio (a very small independent studio of 6 people), we play as Irving, a young soldier in training at the Brookstead military academy who finds himself propelled into an immense war.
If the images remind you of a certain Nintendo franchise, that’s normal; Dark Deity is intended as a tribute to Fire Emblem, more specifically the episodes of the GBA era. If you’ve played these episodes, you know what to expect; a host of unit classes, charming pixelated graphics and a level of difficulty of the most full-bodied.
Launched as a surprise at E3 last summer, Dark Deity was an unexpected success for a first game that was relatively unknown until then; the title had briefly found itself at the top of Steam sales.
We are promised for this Switch version improvements such as new, more detailed scenery, new weapons as well as redesigned lighting effects.
Dark Deity will be offered for the sum of 24.99 US$ (regarding 31$ CAD or 22€) and will be available in several languages, including English, French and Japanese.
