The dramatic season in Ramadan this year is witnessing a different phenomenon, but it is not innovative. The series were not hostage to the number of episodes in their thirties and above, as happened in recent years, and the tyrant was between 12 and 15 episodes.
This season dominated the 15-episode series, and it is remarkable that they all attract the audience and bear the names of beloved stars, including what began showing two days before the start of the month of Ramadan, such as the light comedy series “Full Number”, which met with great success and we have a later pause with it, starring Dina El-Sherbiny and Sherif Salama. And the able artist, Esaad Younis, written by Yusr Taher and Rana Abu Al-Rish and directed by Khaled Al-Halafawi.
As if it was a process of receiving and handing over, regarding 13 series, including “The Seventh Hersha” by Amina Khalil and Muhammad Shaheen, and directed by Karim Al-Shennawy, were shown in the first half. “The Whistle” by Ahmed Amin and Taha Desouky, directed by Alaa Ismail; “A Legitimate Relationship,” starring Yasser Jalal and Mai Omar; “The Imam’s Message,” starring Khaled Al-Nabawi, directed by Al-Laith Hajjo. “Memoirs of a Husband” by Tarek Lotfi and Khaled El Sawy, directed by Tamer Nady; “Rashid” by Mohamed Mamdouh and Reham Abdel Ghafour, directed by Mai Mamdouh; And “Generous Promises,” starring Hanan Mutawa and Nour Mahmoud, directed by Ahmed Hassan.
Mona Zaki is coming in a completely different way in the series “Under the Guardianship”, and Menna Shalaby, who is returning to the short series once more following “With the Rise of the Spirit”, which was shown last Ramadan, appears in the series “Change Joe” with Ahmed Malik and Iyad Nassar, written by Mona Al-Shimi and directed by Maryam Abu Auf; And Donia Samir Ghanem returns in the comedy series “Jet Salima”, written by Karim Youssef and Sameh Gamal, and directed by Islam Khairy. Ghada Abdel Razek also renews her experience with the 15-episode series, following “The Back Doors” last year, to participate today in the series “Talat Al-Talata”, and Ahmed Dash presents “The Fund”, written by Mostafa Saqr and directed by Marwan Abdel Moneim.
If it was the platforms that pushed the producers towards reducing the episodes in half, which means giving up stretching and lengthening without any dramatic motives, and intensifying the content so that we can enjoy the butter and the business makers come with their best and finest, then let us admit that this method has several advantages, including the change in the form of drama and the number of episodes. And the number of runners of the “15th path” has increased this year, which heralds another development that will come in the coming seasons.
