Danny Khezzar: From Top Chef Finalist to Gourmet Restaurant Manager at Bayview, Hotel President Wilson Geneva

Danny Khezzar, better known as Danny from Top Chef, distinguished himself in the kitchen on the M6 ​​show. The young cook has just taken over the management of Bayview, the gourmet restaurant of the Hotel President Wilson in Geneva.

Inimitable laughter, cluster of blond braids on his head and fan of rap and reggaeton, Danny Khezzar made himself known as a participant and finalist of the French show Top Chef. After winning the hearts of the French-speaking public who supported him during his television appearances, he took over the management of the gastronomic restaurant Bayview in Geneva.

“Even if I am Swiss by adoption, I am very happy to have been able to represent it and give visibility to Geneva. In exchange, I received a lot of support from the locals and more generally from the Swiss”, says the young cook, who does not hide his satisfaction.

Important visibility

Ever since Danny rose to fame, he’s noticed the beneficial effects on his work. “It brings in a new clientele. Here we are, we are full until September 10,” he explains. “It also gives us visibility to be able to recruit more easily. It’s a profession that lacks personnel, and there, I notice a rise in applications.”

Moreover, the cook does not stop in Geneva: he is going to open an ephemeral restaurant in Paris. However, he does not plan to leave the city of Calvin. “I’m going to stay in Geneva, with chef Michel Roth at the Bayview.”

And Top Chef?

“It’s a wonderful adventure”: Danny seems to leave the M6 ​​show satisfied with his experience. “There was not the icing on the cake unfortunately, but it was just magic,” he rejoices. “And then, the public is behind me.”

After beating all the candidates, he lost in the final once morest Hugo Riboulet, the candidate from Annecy. “Perhaps I should have done something a little simpler. I took a lot of risks on the final and I stayed in my gastronomic identity”, recognizes the cook. “By taking less risk, I think I might have won.”
