Danilo Gallinari closes in on Boston, finally off the bench for Celtics

Soon cut by the San Antonio Spurs (he had just arrived there in the trade of Dejounte Murray), Danilo Gallinari negotiates to end up in an ambitious franchise. The former Knicks, Nuggets, Clippers, Thunder and Hawks winger has a strong chance of signing with the Boston Celtics, according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski. The Italian journalist Davide Chinellato indicates that the deal should be completed for 2 years, up to 13 million euros.

We imagine that Gallinari, who will turn 34 next August, will come off the bench for the Celtics. Boston suffered from a lack of depth in its workforce during the NBA Finals and if the arrival of the Italian veteran is confirmed, it will necessarily be a step in the right direction.

Last season, Danilo Gallinari had 11.7 points and 4.7 rebounds with Atlanta, his weakest season since his rookie year with New York in 2009.
